Disc Golf Continues to Grow in Logan Lake

Logan Lake’s disc golf community continues to grow, supported by strong local partnerships, dedicated volunteers, and courses that cater to different skill levels.
From October 2 to 4, 2026, Logan Lake will host the B.C. Provincial Championships, Logan Lake, presented by Canadian Truck Outlet, a PDGA B-tier event hosted by Crush Cub. The tournament is expected to bring more than 150 players to the community and will showcase the Copper Ridge, Sunnyside, and Highland Valley disc golf courses.

The Highland Valley and Sunnyside disc golf courses are provided by the Highland Valley Outdoor Association (HVOA), with Connie and Keith Scott playing a key role in creating and supporting the local disc golf experience.
Connie Scott has been involved in Logan Lake’s disc golf community since its early development. In 2006, she was part of a team that worked with Kamloops Disc Golf to introduce disc golf to Logan Lake, leading to the creation of Copper Ridge in 2007. Since then, the sport has become more accessible to players of all different skill levels.
“When I see families out there with a buggy or a wagon, it does my heart good,” shared Connie. “It has opened up the sport to a lot of people.”
According to Brett Hanna, Logan Lake’s courses stand out because of their convenient proximity, variety, and setting.
“These courses are within five minutes max of one another and are some of the top courses in the province,” shared Brett. “Their proximity to one another, variability in design, and stunning views make it an amazing experience for players locally and those visiting.”
The upcoming provincial championship is the result of ongoing planning, community support, and hundreds of volunteer hours. Crush Cub won the bid to host the event last December and has been preparing to welcome players from across the province.
“This Provincial Championship tournament is exciting because it is a standalone, three-day Logan Lake event where people will truly get to see how far our disc golf scene has come,” shared Brett.
Disc golf is a strong fit for Logan Lake because it is accessible, free to play, and connected to the community’s outdoor recreation identity. The sport encourages residents and visitors to get outside, explore the area, and enjoy the landscape.
The Logan Lake Community Forest is pleased to help share the word about the people, partnerships, and recreation opportunities that contribute to Logan Lake’s quality of life.
